Nothing to Disclose
I hope you don't mind a non-nail polish post today. I love using sugar scrubs because they are so moisturizing that I don't need lotion in the summer. In the winter, they scrub off all that dead skin. I found out about another homemade company, Bumblesoaps, and decided to place an order of a little bit of everything, and the items did not disappoint! I will warn you, if you are into bath and beauty, be careful of another company to obsess over! So grab some coffee and take a seat!
Bumblesoaps |
Bumblesoaps is different from other companies I have purchased from because you get to choose from a long list of scents for each item (100 now, but 50 starting October 1st, which is still tons!). You can really customize it with scents you will enjoy. I also like that the scents are more natural smelling. I have bought from other companies and everything smelled extremely artificial. These smell more like scent concoctions that create the smell of a food rather than an artificial scent. Full scent descriptions can be found HERE.
My first Bumblesoaps order! |
Blue Raspberry Slushie Lip Scrub: Let me start with the fact that this product is HUGE! You totally get your money's worth. It's 1 ounce for $4 and I've looked at other companies that charge $9 for .5 oz. I never tried a lip scrub because I didn't think it was worth the cost. But wow, this one is awesome. The blue raspberry slushie scent reminds me of blue snow cones. I loved it on my lips. My lips were incredibly soft after using this product. Any chapped lip sufferer needs this.

Mango Sorbet Whipped Body Scrub: You absolutely NEED to try any whipped scrub. I love love love sugar scrubs and the whipped one is ultra moisturizing; you don't even need lotion. It has a great lather and was super easy to use. This isn't as abrasive as a normal sugar scrub, so just use what you body is telling you that day! Mango sorbet smells divine. Like icy mango with a hint of raspberry.

Butt Naked Whipped Soap: I bought this to use as shaving cream and I love it. The scent I pick up the most in this is honeydew with some apple. Really love it as shaving cream. Ultra moisturizing. Great for underarms too because the scent really stayed. You can also use it all over your body. Don't be concerned that the top is brown. Certain scents have more vanillin in it so it can oxidize, but you use it normally! And this scent is worth it!

Fruit Loops Bath Truffle: I always hear people love fruit loops. I thought I would hate it so I tried a small item in it. I love it! It does smell EXACTLY like Fruit Loops. And it looks like a scoop of ice cream. The product fizzes and has mango butter so it's a luxurious bath experience. It does not cause bubble but it's more like a liquid lotion experience. My entire bathroom smells like Fruit Loops now!

Whipped Body Butters: I do wish these were a tad bigger. Like the size of the whipped soap sample or in between. The good thing is you don't need TOO much so you can probably get three full body uses unless you're really liberal. These rub in really well though! The sampler comes with five, but I traded two and will report back when I get the other scents.

Cranberry Yuzu: Jump on this scent because it is limited edition! It's a great balance of sweet cranberry and yuzu which is hard to describe but awesome. I will need this in the large size.
Rainbow Sherbet: Absolutely stunning. The vanilla balances out the fruity scents and it really smells like sherbet. I will absolutely be ordering this in other products. This one may not make the cut for the 50 scent list, so BUY IT!!
Sparkling Cider: This smells like off-the-farm warmed fresh apple cider. It even smells warm. The spice is the top note for me. Really lovely scent although I think I would prefer it in a sugar scrub.

Now on to the extras. I love when companies throw in samples of other products. It gives me a chance to try new items but also, it makes me want to be a repeat customer!
Charcoal Facial Soap: I have oily skin and sometimes use harsh treatments just to clear up my skin. This seemed like it would be too gentle for my skin, and it still might be but it was a great cleanser. Sorry for the weird photo; I've already used it quite a bit.

Exotic Coconut and Sparkling Cider Soap: Not meant for your face, they smell great and look beautiful. I actually got two pieces of coconut but sent one to a friend.

Frosted Snowdrops Whipped Soap: So excited I got to smell this LE scent. It's very clean. I really enjoy it. And like I said above, the whipped soap is great. You can actually see how whipped it is.

Coffee Scrub: I also won a giveaway so I got to choose a full sized product and received the coffee scrub. It looks like there's real coffee in the scrub. It smells great. Like coffee chocolate cake. This is not whipped, so it's more like a traditional sugar scrub. Love it. Just look at the stuff! You can just see how natural it is!

Little Black Dress Perfume Roller Mini: This is a great floral scent that's deeper than a classic floral. I like it for the perfume but not sure for bath products.

I know this is a long post, but I hope you enjoyed the different items from my first order. I will definitely be buying more items and try new items like the lip balms and solid lotion. The great thing is that if there is a scent you don't like (and if you don't use the item), there's a great group on Facebook to trade, as I did with two items above! The maker, Michal, will be updating her labels as well. As you can see, I got some wet and the writing smudged. I put tape over it, but I guess it wasn't enough!
As I mentioned above, Bumblesoaps will be reducing her scent list from 100 down to 50. You can vote on the 15 you want to stay by purchasing scents you enjoy. I will definitely be placing an order for Rainbow Sherbet. For more information on the scent list and to stay up-to-date, check out the Facebook page HERE and the Bumblesoaps shop HERE.
