NEW YORK FASHION WEEK : Marc Jacobs AW12

I love Marc Jacobs - he has such a knack for designing such trend setting collections and really getting the fashion pulse going! So I must admit that I liked but wasn't mad about a lot of the last collection because I'm not really that into checkered patterns, I LOVE the layered wintery collection he presented this week in New York.

I don't know why but there is something about the layering in this collection which reminds me of the way Japanese teenagers layer clothing which I really like. I also find something quite dark about this collection, I think its the shoes with the buckles and the large hats.....

There was quite a few pieces of knitwear cropping up as well - which reminds me that I don't think of MJ as a knitwear designer. However I really love the way that all the pieces seem to have a different texture which makes me think of how cosy it must all feel!
