Manatees

Yesterday we went to the "Manatee Viewing Center" in Apollo Beach, Tampa Bay to see some giant manatees at the power plant. 

I know it looks kind of odd to see them there, but they are attracted by the warm water that the power plant creates. They looked so cute and it was interesting to see them, but these lovely creatures barely moved and they basically looked like drifting potatoes in the water.
This center also had a little garden with plants and beautiful flying butterflies, and a tidal walk. 

Overall it was fun and for free :)

Gestern gingen wir zum "Manatee Viewing Center" in Apollo Beach, Tamp Bay, um gigantische Seekuehe beim Kraftwerk zu sehen.

Ich weiss, es sieht irgendwie merkwuerdig aus, sie dort zu sehen, aber sie werden durch das warme Wasser angezogen, dass das Kraftwerk erzeugt. Sie sahen so niedlich aus und es war interessant sie zu sehen, jedoch bewegten sich diese goldigen Lebewesen kaum und im Grunde sahen sie aus wie treibende Kartoffeln im Wasser. 
Dieses Zentrum hatte auch einen kleinen Garten mit Pflanzen und schoenen fliegenden Schmetterlingen und ein Tideweg.

Insgesamt war es amuesant und kostenlos :)
