His drunken kiss with his married Strictly dance partner caused mass controversy, leading to the end of his long-term relationship.
And Seann Walsh claimed on Monday that he was dropped from Michael McIntryre’s Big Show after the scandal came to light last year.
During his performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the comedian, 33, said: 'My friend Henry Paker who works on Michael McIntryre's Big Show, phoned me that week to tell me to keep it to myself but that I got the stand up spot on [the] show.

'I thought "I’ve hit the big time". I was going to do the stand up spot, football bit. I thought "here I come."'
Saying the news made him the 'happiest [he's] ever been' as he went to an after party for Strictly Come Dancing, he explained that the feeling didn't last long.
He claimed: 'Before I could order my first pint my agent called me outside to the BBC marquee in the parking spot and said at 10:30 pm October 6: "The paper dropped a picture online of you kissing Katya outside a pub.” My whole life turned upside down. My dream transformed into a nightmare.'

Scandal: Seann has had a tumultuous year since appearing in last year's Strictly after pictures surfaced of he and his dance partner Katya Jones locking lips
Seann has had a tumultuous year since appearing in last year's Strictly after pictures surfaced of he and his dance partner Katya Jones locking lips on their booze-fuelled night out in London.
Seann was in a long-term relationship with Rebecca Humphries at the time, whilst Katya, 30, is married to fellow Strictly pro, Neil Jones.
Shortly after the scandal, the comedian issued an apology in which he blamed his actions on alcohol, branding it a 'one-off' and a 'mistake'.
Katya echoed the sentiments, claiming she was sorry for the 'hurt' she had caused by her actions, but insisted her marriage to Neil was 'absolutely fine'.

And during his comedy show, Seann admitted that he felt guilty about the incident as he referred to himself as a cheat, a liar, and a bad boyfriend, before making a new joke about Katya.
Referring to the backlash he experienced, Seann said: 'I was put into hotels - secret locations so paps couldn’t find me. Now, on Friday, I’m sort of feeling optimistic, I sat in my bed in my hotel room, and asked Katya to pass me the remote. I’m joking. I never said that before.'
After his kiss with Katya came to light, Seann was publicly dumped by his girlfriend of five years Rebecca.
She shared a scathing statement in which she revealed she had left the star and taken their beloved cat Winston.
When the scandal occurred in October, Seann dubbed himself 'the most hated comedian in Britain' and whilst the furore has died down, he revealed he is still being targeted by trolls.
Seann took to social media earlier this year to share a screenshot of a hugely disrespectful tweet which read: 'Tried watching @SoccerAM but @seannwalsh. Top class f****** c***. Wish he'd do a Tommy Cooper on live T.V.'
Seann fired back: 'For people that have seen my show, this is the sort of thing I mean - people wishing I dropped dead on TV and letting me know it.
'I can’t quite put into words what this feels like. Something has to change.'
The troll, who has since deleted the tweet, was referring to the iconic Welsh prop comedian and magician who tragically died following a heart attack on live television in 1984.
