The Trump card! Justin Bieber 'uses President-elect's argument to seal deposition in egging case'

If it is good enough for the soon-to-be POTUS, it is good enough for this pop prince.

Justin Bieber has called for his deposition in his egging civil case to be sealed.

TMZ reports the 22-year-old star's lawyer has called for the singer's fight with his former-neighbor to be made private.

The neighbor reportedly remains so angry at Justin even though it has been over two years since the Baby star egged his Calabasas, California, home, that the hitmaker's lawyer believes the questions Justin will face will make the case 'a spectacle'.

While Justin has already paid Jeffrey Schwartz and his wife $90,000 to cover the damages to their home and was sentenced to two years probation and five days community service, the neighbors are suing for mental anguish.

The pop star has been fighting claims that those who faced his egging wrath - Schwartz also alleges Justin spat at him - are still suffering psychological effects from his rampage back in July 2014.

The couple - who claimed in their lawsuit that the Grammy Award winner subjected them to the effects of loud parties and drug use - have complained to still be suffering headaches, stomach aches and insomnia.

The pop stars' deposition in another case was previously made public and his behaviour - which included being confused as to who Usher, his mentor, is - lead to widespread mocking of the star.

His lawyer is not having it this time around however, evoking the same defence as Donald Trump.

According to TMZ, his lawyer cited Trump's order of protection which the President-elect used in his Trump University legal battle.

Trump's legal team argued his depositions should be kept private as the extreme media and public scrutiny meant what was said could be taken out of context and that could be prejudicial to Trump, his presidential bid and to this court case and future court cases.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel agreed and kept the tapes sealed to avoid a 'media frenzy' before the trial.

'There is every reason to believe that release of the deposition videos would contribute to an on-going media frenzy that would increase the difficulty of seating an impartial jury,' the judge said.

Trump has since settled the cases prior to them going to trail or a jury hearing his taped depositions.

Last month the Present-elect agreed to settle for $25 million after being accused of fraud by a number of students who enrolled in his for-profit education company, Trump University.
